Research

3DSurvey Group is involved in numerous national and international research and documentation projects focused on the accurate and comprehensive 3D survey and digital documentation of complex architectures, monumental and archaeological sites, landscapes, environments, small artefacts, paintings, and cultural objects.

The group participates in interdisciplinary and competitive research projects related to Cultural Heritage documentation, digital reconstruction, spatial information systems, AI-assisted analysis, and innovative methodologies for heritage conservation, management, and dissemination.

Research and project activities are supported by a wide range of advanced equipment and technologies, including terrestrial laser scanners, structured-light scanners, semi-metric and high-resolution professional cameras, panoramic imaging systems, topographic instruments, GNSS technologies, and UAV/drone platforms.

In addition to research and documentation projects, part of the team is involved in valorisation initiatives and scientific mediation activities aimed at enhancing Cultural Heritage accessibility, communication, public engagement, and participatory processes through digital technologies and innovative dissemination strategies.
