{"id":2646,"date":"2019-07-23T10:03:55","date_gmt":"2019-07-23T10:03:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sitech-3dsurvey.polimi.it\/?p=2646"},"modified":"2019-07-23T12:16:11","modified_gmt":"2019-07-23T12:16:11","slug":"polimi-3d-survey-and-supsi-work-in-progress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sitech-3dsurvey.polimi.it\/?p=2646","title":{"rendered":"PoliMI, 3D Survey, and SUPSI, work in progress&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the previous posts, we showed the beginning of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sitech-3dsurvey.polimi.it\/?p=2612\">INTERREG PROJECT AMALPI 2018.<\/a>\u00a0That post was not the first time that we mentioned Piuro and its landslide of 1618 (remember the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sitech-3dsurvey.polimi.it\/?p=2524\">SUPERQUARK experience<\/a>?).<\/p>\n<p>During July,\u00a0 Politecnico di Milano &#8211; 3D Survey Group, and SUPSI Scuola Universitaria Professionale della Svizzera Italiana organised some<span style=\"font-family: Ubuntu;\">\u00a0meetings. The work group is currently engaged in the elaboration and the correct management of the data coming from laser scanner survey. The aim is to produce digital 3D models of the terrain useful for reconstructing and studying the effects caused by the landslide events. The focus area is Piuro city, considering both the built zone and the territory that is extended on the north and south mountain&#8217;s sides.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The elaborations produced a point cloud data format of the terrain surface, which was processed through a GIS &#8211; Geographic Information System &#8211; software that permits to obtain\u00a0 its 3D model.
